Amy Winehouse, seen here performing at the Glastonbury Music Festival in June, said Friday she can't make the Rock en Seine event in Paris because she's ill. (Anthony Devlin/PA Wire/Associated Press)Organizers of a music concert in Paris are threatening to take troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse to court after she pulled out just hours before the three-day festival was to start. The British performer was due to sing at the Rock En Seine but pulled out on Friday, claiming to be ill. However, the festival's organizers said there was "no explanation of the exact reasons for her absence." A statement released by Winehouse on Friday said the 24-year-old singer was "regrettably unable to perform at the Rock En Seine show in Paris due to illness" and "wasn't able to travel to France for the concert." The Grammy-winning singer, whose 2006 Back to Black album was a worldwide hit, has been on a downward spiral over the past two years with reports of rampant drug abuse. In the past three months, Winehouse has twice been rushed to hospital, most recently after suffering a reaction to her medication. Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was sentenced to 27 months in jail in July for assault and obstructing justice. Fielder-Civil admitted to beating up a pub manager in a fight in 2006 and then offering him $400,000 to keep quiet about it. The singer's father has said she is suffering early symptoms of emphysema, a lung disease. Winehouse is due to appear at the Bestival festival on the Isle of Wight next weekend.
