Longer Eyelashes Naturally- Jan Marini Product Review

30.05.2007 19:12 Beauty - Source: ezinearticles.com

"Movie-Star" long eyelashes have always been a dream of mine.

I have tried just about everything to achieve this. I've tried almost every brand of mascara on the market and realized no matter what the packaging of the product claims,

if you don't already have naturally long full eyelashes, it is impossible to pile on enough layers of mascara to make them appear truly longer.

The illusion of fuller lashes is achievable, but be careful they don't become clumpy and spider-like. I vowed not to ever look like Tammy Fae!

So I went on a quest to get my own eyelashes healthier, longer and thicker yet still natural looking. I researched eyelash extentions, but decided that path was not for me. I have had hair extentions, and they caused a lot of breakage and I didn't want to risk loosing what I already had for eyelashes when it was time to remove them.

I thought, "I condition my hair to make it healthier, why not my eyelashes?"

I tried vaseline nightly. It was oily and as hard as I tried, it got into my eyes. I wear contacts and that was not an option. I also noticed little white, hard bumps on my delicate skin close to my eyelashes. My esthetician called them milia and had to physically extract them using a small scalpel blade and comodone extractor. YIKES, no more products that can clog my pores!

I finally found a conditioner that is specifically formulated for the eyelashes. It has been opthamologist tested, which is good news for my contacts. I spoke to my esthetician and she said she has seen great results from this product with her patients.

The theory is to condition your eyelashes at night while you sleep. Your eyelashes grow in cycles, and results can be seen in as little as a couple of weeks. That is exactly what I was looking for! I was not excited when I saw the price tag. $160 was pretty steep, but the company vowed it would last about 6 months. I researched on the internet and found it for a little less with coupon codes.

I religiously applied it nightly and was amazed in a week. I had taken digital pictures of my eyelashes so I could compare. I could see that they were growing in length and filling in. After a month, I was completely sold!

My eyelashes looked great and I can't believe my eyes! I do not have to wear mascara during the day. When I do apply mascara, I look like I have on fake eyelashes, but they are all mine!

I also found that when I wear mascara, my lashes now come in contact with my skin. So when I blink, I have to be careful of my mascara smearing and looking like raccoon eyes by the end of the day.

I am completely happy with Jan Marini's Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner and highly recommend it to anyone wanting healthier, natural eyelashes.
