CDW June Avg. Daily Sales Up 25 Percent

CDW Corp., a provider of technology products and services, said Thursday its average daily sales climbed 25 percent for the month of June. The average daily sales for the month were $34.2 million, up from $27.3 million in June 2006. The company said that sales for June 2007 include results from its Berbee Information Networks, which the company acquired in October 2006, while the year-ago results exclude Berbee sales. Excluding results from Berbee, sales for the month were $31.6 million, up 16 percent from $27.3 million in the year-ago period. CDW (nasdaq: CDWC - news - people ) said sales of notebook computers, desktop computers, software, and network communications products and video were particularly strong. For the second quarter, including results from Berbee, sales were $2.03 billion, up 24 percent from $1.63 billion in the year-ago period. Excluding Berbee results, second-quarter sales were $1.88 billion, up 15 percent from $1.63 billion last year. Analysts expected, on average, second-quarter sales of $1.93 billion.
