ScanSource Expects Rise in 4Q Sales

ScanSource Inc., a distributor of electronic security equipment and point-of-sale products such as bar code scanners, said Monday it expects fiscal 2007 fourth-quarter sales to range from $520 million to $528 million.

The company's fiscal fourth-quarter ended June 30. During the same period a year prior, the company had sales of $461.1 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect sales of $524 million.

ScanSource (nasdaq: SCSC - news - people ) will release final quarterly results Aug. 23.

Shares of ScanSource rose 27 cents to $33.26 in after-hours trading after rising 99 cents, or 3.1 percent, to close at $32.99.
