LIMA, Ohio — The merger of two Allen County credit unions in October will mean more services for members of the smaller organization, officials say.
North Star Federal Credit Union will integrate its $5.4 million in assets and 2,400 members with Superior Federal Credit Union, which has $286 million in assets and 39,500 members. The organizations will operate as Superior.

The two North Star offices, in Lima and Delphos, will remain open, said Kurt Neeper, Superior’s marketing director. Superior has nine offices around the region.
North Star doesn’t offer mortgages, many deposit products, or investment, trust or business services, he added.
