A passenger on an Air Canada flight that landed in St. John's late Monday just couldn't wait to have a smoke. The man lit a cigarette just as Flight 658 from Halifax was landing at St. John's International Airport after 11 p.m. Monday. Another passenger noticed the man smoking in his seat and reported him to a flight attendant. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the man had been drinking, but co-operated with the crew. A Mount Pearl resident, 55, will appear in court on a charge of smoking on an aircraft.
