Figures show high jobless rates in NW Ohio

The highest rates locally were in Van Wert County, at 10.2 percent, and Lucas County, at 9.2 percent, according to the state Department of Job and Family Services.

Lowest was in Putnam County, at 5.9 percent. The state rate jumped to 7.4 percent, its highest since 1992.
