Tecumseh finishes sale of electrical business

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh Products Co. said yesterday that it has completed the previously announced sale of a majority of its electrical component business to Regal Beloit Corp.

The sale generated $220 million in cash that the Lenawee County firm will use to reduce debt. The operations sold included the residential and commercial motors and Asia-Pacific divisions of Tecumseh’s Fasco business unit.
