'06 cellar dwellers reverse course early in '07 season

The NFL teams with the top six picks in the 2007 draft are all off to good starts, even when that top pick hasn't made a particularly strong contribution or any contribution. USA TODAY examines their progress and their teams' surprising starts:

6Redskins2-1LaRon LandryFSStarting from Day 1, he helped to improve a Redskins' defense that ranked 31st overall and 23rd against the pass. They're up to 13th overall and 13th against the pass.
